The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Government of Somalia and Puntland State to enhance cooperation on police training and countering terrorism.
The Memorandum of Understanding will provide up to $1 million to expand INL’s current police and counterterrorism assistance programs in Somalia to benefit Puntland State.
This program is part of INL’s continued commitment to support mutually agreed-upon regional policing and counterterrorism efforts.
