The Arab League reaffirmed on Monday its commitment to standing by Somalia’s leadership, government and people, and continuing to make all necessary contributions to support Somalia.
This came during Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit’s meeting with Somalia’s Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dr. Fowzia Abikar, according to a League press release.
She expressed the full appreciation of Somalia’s government for the Arab League’s efforts in supporting their health sector, including providing ambulances to the federal government, supporting Somalia’s education sector and assisting Somalia’s debt relief efforts.
Abikar noted Somalia’s interest in benefitting from the Arab League’s personnel training and technical health support. (end) mfm.gaa
