An IED blast on the outskirts of Bosaso on Monday morning targeted a convoy of Puntland President’s delegation visiting the city.
One of the presidential vehicles was hit by the blast, and two soldiers were confirmed dead and several others were injured.
Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for today’s attack.
The incident comes two days after an explosion ripped through a restaurant in the city, killing two traditional leaders who come to the city for the Federal Parliament elections.
