Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, has left the capital, Mogadishu, for an official visit to Qatar following an invitation from the Qatari government.
The visit is expected to focus on strengthening relations between Somalia and Qatar, with talks set to cover economic cooperation, investment and social development.
During his stay, Mr Hamza is expected to meet senior Qatari officials as the Somali government seeks to deepen its diplomatic and strategic partnerships with international allies.
The visit comes as Somalia works to expand international cooperation and attract investment to support its economic and social development priorities.
