Somalia’s Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, has co-chaired a high-level meeting to approve the fourth-year work plan of the Somali Stability Fund (SSF III), aimed at supporting governance and social stability initiatives across the country.
The meeting was held jointly with the British Ambassador to Somalia, Charles King, and brought together representatives from Somali government institutions, donor partners and the SSF implementation team.
According to a statement issued following the meeting, participants reviewed progress under the programme and endorsed the Year 4 work plan.
The committee reaffirmed support for a government-led and coordinated approach to Somalia’s stability agenda, with priorities including conciliation efforts, strengthening local governance, promoting social cohesion and inclusion, and improving institutional capacity.
Officials said the discussions highlighted a shared commitment among Somali authorities and international partners to ensure that support provided through the fund delivers measurable outcomes for communities.
The approval of the new work plan was described as an important step toward advancing implementation of programmes intended to strengthen stability and governance across Somalia.
