Jamaame, Lower Juba – Jubbaland Dervish forces, in coordination with Danab commandos, have launched a series of intensive operations in the Jamaame district of Lower Juba, targeting Al-Shabaab militants believed to be operating in the area.

In a successful operation on the outskirts of Jamaame, the local Al-Shabaab leader, Farah Jibril, was killed along with seven other militants. Jibril and his group had long been involved in violent activities, oppressing and destabilizing the local population, according to Jubbaland security officials.
The operation, which is part of a broader strategy to restore stability to the region, was confirmed by officers on the ground. They stated that this strike was a significant blow to Al-Shabaab’s presence in Jamaame and its surrounding areas.
“We are committed to securing the safety and peace of our people,” said one senior security officer. “This operation is only the beginning, and we will continue our efforts to target and neutralize any remaining militants in the region.”
The Jubbaland government has vowed to continue its operations throughout the weekend, focusing on areas where militants are believed to be hiding.
Locals have expressed relief following the operation, hopeful that it will mark the beginning of improved security and an end to the Al-Shabaab influence in their communities.
