Puntland government defense forces have carried out planned operations in areas of the Al-Miskaad mountains in Bari region where ISIS militants are hiding.
In the Cascasey area, one of the areas where operations were conducted on Sunday, the forces killed more than 10 foreign fighters and recovered weapons and equipment from them, as shown in photos posted on social media.
In the Qandala mountains, forces conducted operations to destroy ISIS positions, according to Puntland defense force officials.
On Saturday, Puntland Defense Forces, which conducted operations in the Buqo-Aleed area, succeeded in capturing the ISIS headquarter in the mountains, vehicles, wells and positions that had been occupied by the ISIS group since 2017.
