The leadership of both chambers of Somalia’s Federal Parliament has announced that the Eighth Session of the 11th Federal Parliament will officially convene on 1 August, as lawmakers return to resume work on a series of critical national priorities.
Members of the House of the People and the Upper House have been formally notified to attend the opening sitting, which is expected to set the legislative agenda for the months ahead.
The upcoming session will focus on several key issues, including the passage of pending legislation, electoral matters, national security, and the country’s broader political and governance landscape as Somalia continues efforts to advance constitutional reforms and strengthen state institutions.
