Somalia’s army chief has escaped unharmed in a roadside explosion in the capital, Mogadishu on Wednesday morning, Witnesses confirm.
Gen Dahir Aden Ilmi, was travelling in an armored car in a convoy when the bomb exploded in Hodan neighborhood, Northwestern part of the capital.
According to sources, some of his bodyguards are believed to have been injured in the blast and at least one of the vehicles has been damaged.
No group has claimed yet the responsibility of the attack. But Islamist hardline al-Shabab is famous for such atrocities.
