President of Somalia, Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General, Dr. Augustine Mahiga met today in the sidelines of the AU meeting in Kampala.
President Sharif and the top UN diplomat discussed wide-ranging Somalia related issues, touching on the humanitarian crisis, security challenges, political and diplomatic developments. Dr. Mahiga informed the President that the international community to committed to assist the TFG and confront the extremists terrorising the Somali people.
