shabab-somaliaSomalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked militant group has executed three men for allegedly spying for Ethiopia and Federal government of Somalia’s intelligence agencies.

The trio were killed in an open public view in firing in a Southern Somalia town, while residents of the district were invited to watch the event as it unfolds.

Two of the three men were alleged by al-shabaab to have spied for the Federal government while the other one to have links with the Ethiopian government.

Al Shabaab is under pressure from southern and western parts of Somalia as Kenyan army continues to sought their locations while African Union and Ethiopian armies are combining to route the islamists out of the war-torn country.
