The prime minister of the federal government, Hamse Abdi Barre, will participate in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development TICAD8, which will open on Saturday, August 27 in Tunisia.
The Prime Minister of Somalia will be on his first trip outside the country since he was appointed on June 15, and he is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference.
The TICAD conference will take place for the second time in Africa after Kenya hosted it in 2016.
Around 50 African leaders are expected to attend the conference, along with more than 200 African civil society and NGO representatives, heads of regional institutions and businessmen.
TICAD was founded in 1993, and the Tokyo International Conference on African Development is held every three years.
