The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and His Excellency Yoweri Museveni attended the first Somalia-Uganda investment meeting on Wednesday.
The government of Uganda and the government of Somalia have signed a memorandum of Understanding on trade and investment.
The MoU was signed at the inaugural Somalia-Uganda Investment and Bussiness Summit, taking place at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort.
It Was signed by Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) Chairman, Morison Rwakakamba and his Somali counterpart, Asad Yusuf.
The MoU is intended to set out the nature and scope of cooperation between the two counrties and to promote and develop cooperation in mutually identified priority areas.
