Somalia is very interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan, the accredited Azerbaijani ambassador of Somalia in Ankara, Fathudin Ospite said during a meeting with Rashad Jabirli, chairman of the board of directors of MUSIAD Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
He noted that Azerbaijan is the most dynamically developing country in the region.
“We are ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in various fields, and this is in our interest,” he said. The ambassador noted that Mogadishu has set priorities within the framework of deepening cooperation with Baku.
“These priorities exist and we are interested in cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture and tourism,” the ambassador said.
Emphasizing the importance of the mass media in the recognition of countries, the Somali diplomat noted that it would be good to have an exchange of experience between the mass media of Azerbaijan and Somalia.
“If we get the news from the original source, we can get more complete and detailed information. In this regard, I think that there should be a connection between the Azerbaijani and Somali mass media”, – he added.
The ambassador added that work is being done to open the embassy of Somalia in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Rashad Jabirli, chairman of MUSIAD Azerbaijan’s management board, gave full information about Azerbaijan to the ambassador.
“Azerbaijan has serious potential in many fields. Currently, many fields in the country, including tourism, are developing”, Rashad Jabirli said.
He noted that the country has fertile conditions for investment in various fields.
“Azerbaijan has hosted a number of globally important events in recent years, and one of them is COP29. This event once again proves the importance of Azerbaijan,” Jabirli said.
