Somalia: Qatar Foreign Minister visits Mogadishu
Qatar Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah paid a visit to Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Friday.
During his short visit to the capital, he met Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid and several ministers of the Federal government.
Somalia Foreign Affairs Minister told reporters after the meeting that both sides had discussed on ways of bolstering the bilateral relations. Among the other issues discussed were the conflict Yemen, specifically on the streaming of the refugees to Somalia.

Qatar Minister of Foreign Affair said that his side will continue to support Somalia on its recovery from the over two decades of civil war.
‘’ We are determined to continue our support to the government and people of Somalia. We are looking forward to enhance the bilateral relations,’’ he said in Press Conference.
Meanwhile, Somalia’s government offered the Qatari government a parcel of land in Mogadishu for the purpose of building an embassy, which Mr Attiyah visited after holding talks with the President and Prime Minister.
