Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, who is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, has held talks with King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud in Riyadh.
On arrival at the Palace, the President accompanied by Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Information of the Federal Government were warmly welcomed by Custodian of the two Holy Mosques.
The leaders discussed regional developments and addressed bilateral relations as well as ways to enhance them, according to the Somalia ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dahir Gelle.
“During the talks, they discussed bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation between the two fraternal countries, and reviewed the latest events, at the regional as well as international arenas,” he said.
In April, Somalia approved the use of its airspace, territorial waters and land for Saudi-led air strikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
