Puntland President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali (Gaas) and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta met and discussed ways of intensifying bilateral relations between both sides.
The meeting took place on Friday in the Nairobi Presidential Palace and was attended by Puntland’s minister of Trade and State minister for International Cooperation.
According to a statement from the office of Puntland President, both sides agreed to open consular offices in one another’s capital cities.
The opening of the consular will allow the two sides to provide assistance to its citizens residing in their respective foreign countries.
On his part, President Kenyatta, congratulated the Puntland leader on winning recently the Puntland Presidency elections, as stated in the Press release from the Puntland President Office.
President Abdiweli Gaas is currently on a work visit to the East Africa nation.
