Unidentified gunmen have shot dead two Traffic Police officers in the Somali Capital, Mogadishu on Sunday, witnesses and officials have confirmed.
The officers were killed while they were on their daily duty in one of the popular conjunctions in the capital.
Immediately, the gunmen fled away from the area before police arrived to carry out investigations.
A senior Traffic Police officer told the media that it’s unclear the assailants who carried out the assassination.
The latest killing in Mogadishu comes while the government has tightened the security of the capital after the al-Qaeda-linked militant group threatened to carry more attacks in the capital, during the holy month of Ramadan.
