qarax-the-villagAt least five people have been killed in a car bomb attack carried out by the Somali Militant group in Mogadishu on Wednesday, officials confirm.

The attack took place in a restaurant close to the Presidential Palace late in the evening. More than ten people have been injured.

Among the dead are children who were leaving back to home after finishing their daily studies from a private college close to the scene of the attack.

A spokesman from the extremist group claimed the responsibility for the attack, vowing to carry more attacks in the capital.

‘’ We targeted the government spies and they won’t live peacefully in their houses,’’ said Abdiaziz Abu Musa’ab.

The attack comes two days after a car laden with explosives went off at a restaurant in a busy conjunction, leaving at least 18 people dead.

Al-Shabaab Spokesman also claimed to be behind the attack, adding that the restaurant was owned by an Ethiopian Diplomat.
