Somalia: US posts $3 million reward for Information on three al-Shabab suspects

The U.S. Department of State has offered $3 million in rewards for information on three Somali al-Shabab terrorist suspects, who are believed to be in Somalia.

In a Press statement, the three suspects have been linked to the last year’s attack on the Westgate mall that resulted to the death of at least 69 people.

The suspects, Abdulkadir Mohamed Abdulkadir, who is well-known as ‘’Ikrima’’ is the head of recruitment of al-Shabab in Kenya and his Deputy ‘’Jaafar’’.

Third suspect is, Yasin Kilwe, who is also the head or Emir of al-Shabab insurgents in Galgala mountain ranges, north-eastern Somalia. They also have been linked to other terror attacks which have not been clarified.

The Department added that ‘’Al-Shebab’s terrorist activities pose a threat to the stability of East Africa and to the national security interests of the United States’’
