The military equipment including uniforms and ammunition were intercepted at the port on Tuesday, the source said.
‘’Port guards seized military uniforms and ammunition during their routine check as it was on the process to be smuggled out of the harbour, and up to now it is not clear where it was being delivered to exactly,’’ said the official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak.
Police officers are examining the shipment of military equipments while there are some reports saying that a number of businessmen were arrested who are linked to the consignment for investigations.

The al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group al-Shabaab fighters launch spectacular attacks using Somali military uniforms to disguise themselves.
Last year, Mogadishu port authorities seized military uniforms and explosive devices heading to the militant group.
