SOMALIA: Journalist narrowly escapes gunmen attack in Mogadishu

Omar Faruk, the former Secretary general of Somalia’s journalists union (NUSOJ) was unharmed after gunmen opened fire on his vehicle, on Tuesday.
Three gunmen in a car sprayed bullets on Faruk’s car near the Radio Shabelle office in Mogadishu, one of his bodyguards was wounded in the attack.
“…I am not sure who was behind this attack, many journalists have been killed in Mogadishu…”said Omar Faruk.
The police say they are investigating the attack, with no arrests made so far.
