The fighting in the city of Las Anod in the Sool region has entered the 24th day as the warring parties have increased their troops in the battle areas.

The city is under the control of local forces, while the Somaliland forces outside have failed in many attempts to capture the city.

The fighting that took place on Tuesday was intense in the north and west of the city, and the Somaliland troops who wanted to enter the city from both sides were pushed back.

However, the Somaliland forces targeted the north and west of the city with a heavy bombardment, causing serious damage to the general hospital in the north and the power station in the west of the city.

The laboratory, the blood bank and the patient’s ward of the general hospital in Lascanod were destroyed after being targeted by mortars fired by the Somaliland forces.

At least 17 people died in the fighting yesterday, including one person who was a patient at the general hospital.
