Somali National Army (SNA) forces were able to thwart a massive terrorist attack plot Monday night in Lower Shabelle region in Sabid village.
On Tuesday, government officials announced SNA forces to have foiled the plot after engaging in a battle against al-Shabab terrorists.
SNA soldiers successfully captured a tanker truck with explosives being carried in it, confirmed the ministry of information in a statement.
It added “the terrorists were plotting to carry out a large-scale terrorist attack in Somalia but heroes foiled and arrested number of terrorists.”
