The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had a fruitful meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Said.
The two leaders discussed improving relations and cooperation between the two countries, enhancing trade and transportation ties.
President Mohammed bin Said thanked the President and his delegation for accepting the invitation, and spoke of his government’s role in responding to the drought in Somalia and restoring the UAE’s support for security and social services.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud thanked the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their support to the people of Somalia affected by the drought, saying that the Federal Government of Somalia attaches great importance to strengthening relations with the international community.
