The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Duran Ahmed Farah today laid the foundation stone of the Center for Employment Service Center.
The center will provide effective services to Somali youth, such as matching skills and job training.
“This center will open the door for Somali youth to find employment opportunities in the country, and will also strengthen youth creativity and development.” said Minister Duran.
“Our country is dealing with unemployment, and to address this we are now focusing on skills development for educated and uneducated youth.” he added.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Senator Naima Ibrahim Yusuf, Director General of the Ministry and Mr. Ali Abdi Weheliye, Project Manager of Save the Children, who is assisting the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in operating the Center for Employment Service Center.
