The Federal President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has held a consultation meeting with some of the leaders of the Puntland region in Garowe.
The President listened to Puntland leaders for their advice and development role in strengthening the government and the unity of the Somali people.
The President’s meeting with the elders and intellectuals of Puntland was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abshir Omar Huruse.
President Hassan Sheikh who made his first visit to Puntland’s capital Garowe since his election held meetings with the Puntland President for several days.
President Hassan also visited some of the government offices and Puntland Bank, yesterday.
Villa Somalia and the Puntland presidency have not yet released an official statement on the outcome of the meetings between President Hassan and Puntland leader Saed Abdullahi Deni.
